Donations From Heiligkreuzsteinach-Germany: Music, Community and Hope for Children in Nigeria

Posted on:

The RACE Foundation (Rural Assist & Child Educare) is deeply moved and grateful for the generous donation received from the Catholic Church Choir of Heiligkreuzsteinach, Germany.

During the 5th Night of Kreizstonic Church Music on July 19, 2025, the people of Heiligkreuzsteinach came together in a heartwarming celebration of faith, music, and solidarity. The event, which brought together five choirs, a chapel ensemble, and several talented soloists, filled the village with joy, community spirit, and a powerful message of togetherness — “people helping people.”

After covering all expenses, the choir achieved a record donation of €2,400, which was symbolically handed over on September 18, 2025, by Monika Krebs, Elke Weisbrod, and Markus Graw from the church choir’s board. The donation was divided equally between Mayor Sieglinde Pfahl of Heiligkreuzsteinach and Dr. Felix Uche Akam, representing the RACE Foundation.

Dr. Akam, founder of RACE Foundation, expressed his heartfelt gratitude during the donation ceremony:

“I was deeply surprised and touched that my aid project, RACE Foundation, was chosen as a beneficiary. It is not something to be taken for granted, and I am profoundly thankful to the church choir and to the citizens of Heiligkreuzsteinach for their remarkable generosity.”

The funds will be directed toward improving educational opportunities for children in rural Nigeria — one of the Foundation’s core missions. Dr. Akam emphasized that the donation would especially support initiatives providing children with access to learning resources, better educational facilities, and essential care.

Mayor Pfahl also highlighted the spirit of community and compassion that defined the Night of Church Music. She thanked all participants, donors, and volunteers, noting how events like these strengthen the bonds between people and extend kindness beyond borders.

The RACE Foundation is honored to be part of this beautiful story — a story where music transcends distance, and compassion turns into tangible hope. On behalf of the children and families who will benefit from this support, the Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to the Catholic Church Choir of Heiligkreuzsteinach, its dedicated members, and the entire community.

Together, we are composing a symphony of change — one note of kindness at a time.
